Navision Manufacturing provides a reliable, comprehensive and cost-effective way of reducing lead times, inventory levels and product costs, thus increasing customer service and competitiveness significantly.
One important tool that is not a standard feature in Navision Financials, is a payroll system. And for a very good reason: whereas business logic is the same everywhere, payroll regulations vary so much from country to country that it is impossible to develop a globally applicable payroll system.
Vega Software has developed a payroll system, VEGAPayroll, which is a Navision Financials add-on, fully integrated with Navision's Human Resource and General Ledger modules. No more interfacing of payroll and financial systems, no double entry of data and no delays in getting financial reports - the minute the payroll data is entered and posted, the General Ledger is updated and the financial effect of salaries etc. on overall performance is visible on-line.
Besides simple salary calculation and payroll history, VEGAPayroll also covers user-definable bonuses, allowances, deductions, loans and repayments etc. All taxes and deductions such as e.g. PAYE, NHIF and LASC are bracketed.
VEGAPayroll also produces all necessary and statutory reports and statements, for example:

Commercial banking services are not available to a large number of people in Africa, who instead depend on Savings And Credit Co-Operatives (SACCO's) for saving and lending money. These SACCO's often have thousands of members and administrate large sums of money, requiring a stable and transparent IT system that can provide the necessary statement and reports. Unfortunately, no really satisfactory and affordable SACCO systems have been available - until now, that is !

NAVImeat is a unique, complex and very comprehensive manufacturing suite for large slaughterhouses and meat processing industries - and it is fully integrated with Navision Financials. The system - developed by LEC of Denmark and distributed and supported in Eastern Africa by Vega Software - is used by a number of leading meat processors world-wide, including some in Eastern and Southern Africa.
The meat processing industry typically operates with large-volume production of perishable products and generate significant turnovers but receive only marginal earnings due to competititon, excess capacity and raw material shortage. This calls for effective and fast decision-making based on detailed, up-to-the-minute information and requires a well-planned and flexible production process.
NAVImeat covers the entire manufacturing process from the receipt and weighing in of live animals via slaughtering and deboning to processing, storing and despatch. The integration with Navision Financials provides on-line access to information about stock levels, sales orders, purchase orders and forecasts, providing the background for making informed and rational production plans and decisions. The system ensures optimal utilisation of raw materials and capacity without jeopardizing timely delivery of customer orders.
